Committed to providing assistance to AIDS patients who cannot
afford medicine, Dr. Rakesh Agarwal established The Arogyadham
Global AIDS Research Foundation, an Irrevocable Public Trust in
1998, where he acts as Chairman and Principal Trustee. AGARF
provides 100% free prophylactic treatment to AIDS Patients
irrespective of caste, creed and religion from any part of the
world. The AGARF is Tax-Exempted, U/S 80G of IT ACT and is
registered with the FCRA by the Government of India. Upto this
point in time, it has provided Ayurvedic herbal formulations to
more than 5,000 patients. Although a cure for AIDS has not been
discovered, the Ayurvedic herbal formulations being provided
allow patients to live virtually symptom-free and prolong the
duration of their life by 5-10 years.
